We're Home!

Ava has been home for about 2 weeks now. Tracy and Mason are doing a fantastic job caring for Ava, Joe is busy making sure everyone has what they need. Since Ava needs Tracy more than anyone else in this world right now Mason and Joe have been keeping busy hunting dinosaurs, sliding, riding bikes, hiding and seeking, etc.

Mason came down with hand, foot and mouth virus and has been staying home from school all week. Tracy has received a crash-course in full time motherhood. Everyone has done fantastic through it all but we all look forward to Mason's full recovery.

While no plans are being made officially, we hope to visit Kansas City in the coming months. We haven't been to K.C. since Thanksgiving 2006 due to several events and the Dr. asking Tracy not to travel during her pregnancy. We look forward to visiting family and friends and to welcome all the new little ones into the family.

We've contracted to purchase a lot in a subdivision 38 miles east of downtown St. Louis. We have no immediate plan to begin building, but look forward to someday being among family and friends.

For now we're living a fairly tame lifestyle, but we're looking forward to getting back to our usual hectic lives.

She's Here!

Ava Grace Millard arrived at 12:04 P.M. on July 12, 2007. She was 18.5 inches long and weighed 6 lbs. 9 ozs; a full pound heavier than her brother Mason was at birth!

Tracy did an amazing job throughout the preganancy and especially through the delivery. She's doing fantastic now and is resting comfortably at home.

Mason immediately embraced his position as big brother and frequently asks to hold Ava. He's very gentle with her and showers her with kisses.



Luckily, Ava resembles her mother and will surely inherit her good looks!

Tracy will take 10 to 12 weeks at home with Ava and Mason and I will be spending a lot of time trying to stay out of the way of the girls.

Okay, we're not super tech-savvy and we're not really long on free time, but we thought we'd give this blog thing a try and see if this is a good way to let everyone know what we're up to. If you don't know us, then we hope you aren't reading any more. If you do, then we hope you're up on our lives enough to know where this picks up. If you need some info to catch you up, let us know.
